Biography

I was born in Darmstadt. At the tender age of three I used to entertain the passengers on the bus with my singing. After attaining my university entrance, I studied social pedagogics in the field of children and adolescent education. Apart from that I had voice training.

After working as lead singer in several bands, I decided to combine my pedagogical and singing experience and began to teach.  

- a decade of experience teaching at private music schools in Fulda and Lauterbach.
- workshops with pop bands and modern choirs.
- coaching pupils for castings, television appearances, musicals and CD productions.

November 2003
A special workshop in Hamburg with the Musical Star Karin Ploog proved decisively influential. Her training concept inspired me such that I now successfully apply her method in my teaching. Karin Ploog is a tutor at the University for Music and Theater Hamburg, and works free lance in all branches of popular and serious music. Apart from her numerous television and radio appearances, she has also had many years of experience on stage. She was the first “Cats” Gumbie in Hamburg. She is the author of the book “Voice coaching”.

October 2005: “Bipolar breath, body and voice work”
The participation at the Institute for speech and voice training “BISS”, in Renate Schulze-Schindler‘s seminar in Berlin about the conformity of breath polarity and its regularities, was also an inspiration. Renate Schulze-Schindler is a voice tutor, music pedagogue and co-author of the book “ Sonne, Mond und Stimme”. Furthermore she works with singers, speakers and large orchestral ensembles at Universities, theater schools, and international music academies.

March and Mai 2008: “Voice phoniatry /Voice physiologie”
Further education in a voice pedagogical qualification course of the “Bundesverband deutscher Gesangspädagogen” with Prof. Dr. Med. Wolfram Seidner (Phoniater at the Charité Berlin).
